Ensure all electrical and computer cords are safely secured neatly and not dangling or trailing on ground.
Power Boards and Extension Leads
Remove power boards for any electrical equipment that is not a computer or a laptop.
Remove power boards and replace with a policy-approved power board
Remove all double adaptors from the site. If there are insufficient electrical sockets use a policy-approved power board (computers and printers only) or contact property manager to discuss options for additional power outlets.
Remove all extension leads from the site. Extension leads are not permitted to be used on site (see Electrical Safety Procedure)
Check for heaters, toasters, radios, air fryers, coffee machines etc.
Employees are NOT permitted to bring personal electrical equipment (including but not limited to heaters, toaster, radio, air fryer, coffee machines) to work and any items within the workplace should be removed.Exception to this is mobile phone charger, USB chargeable item.
The Inspector should check all electric plugs, sockets and switches to see that there is no damage. If damage has been identified, remove, replace or arrange for the item to be fixed.
